just doing my part

Often times I get overwhelmed with all the work there is to be done. It seems as though my to-do list is never completed and that more things keep getting added to it on a daily basis.

In Matthew 9:37 it says, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few."

But then in verse 38 it says, "Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

Orphan Sunday is coming up soon on November 4th. For several months I went back and forth on whether I should help out with a video that would provide a Biblical perspective on how and why the church should be involved in Orphan Care, Foster Care & Adoption. And after praying and several other things happening, I decided to just do my part! To use the gifts that God has given me and to be a part of something that could potentially speak to one person's heart about Orphans.

While I do my part and wait for our adoption to go through... I'm also praying that God send more people to the field, to share the word of God, to care for Orphans, to help the widows and the homeless. If everyone would just do their part... we can make a difference and people will see Jesus in us!

So... HOW CAN YOU HELP??????

Please pass this information on to others that you know that have adopted, were adopted, are foster parents or are waiting to adopt! We want you & them to be involved!

  1. Hi Jamie, what a great idea! If you don't mind, I'd love to post this on our blog. I know of at least 7 Hardee Co. families (including ours and my sisters') whose lives have been touched by adoption who also follow our blog. I'd love for them to be involved!

  2. Please forward. We would love to have as many people involved as possible! Photo shoot is this sat and next Sunday if anyone is local. If not, a family picture with or without a sign (dry erase board, chalk board etc) will work just fine. Have them email to me as soon as possible. Blessings!
